Advertorial
Sun, sea, summer
At times like this, it's a shame that there isn't a Steve Jobs-like figure who has invented how a certain scent can come from your computer. That I press a button and you can smell Aqua Divina by Bvlgari. Because that's the only thing you want after reading this piece. Just believe me.
The nice thing about a scent is that it captures memories on your skin. I like having a signature perfume but want to choose a scent each season that I know will remind me of that moment later with a simple spray. For the recordings of Holland’s Next Top Model, I even bought a special perfume, fitting for that adventure.
Together we travel to Saint Tropez, because that's where Bvlgari found the contemporary inspiration of the Venus of Botticelli.
This summer, Aqua Divina is coming along in the suitcase. Together we travel to Saint Tropez, because that's where Bvlgari found the contemporary inspiration of the Venus of Botticelli. You know, the voluptuous beauty who was portrayed in a shell, which is considered one of the most beautiful works in art history.
Venus (who was called Aphrodite by the Greeks) was born from Gaia (the personification of the earth) and Uranus (who represents the home of the gods) and became the symbol of fertility. It's no wonder that she was the one who became the mistress of Adonis.
Bvlgari wanted to develop a scent that fits a contemporary Venus. A bit of Venus, a touch of Brigitte Bardot, and a shot of Magdalena Frackowiack (the model chosen as the face of this scent), I would say.
It celebrates the sun, the sea, and the summer, and the bottle is a piece of jewelry. But you wouldn't expect anything less from Bvlgari, of course.
