Amayzine in 5&33

Those who follow us on Instagram already knew: yesterday we moved our laptops from the editorial office in the South to our favorite hotel in the center. The art'otel and especially their restaurant 5&33 to be precise. Yesterday we had The Great Amayzine Brainstorm. We had all been brainstorming award-winning ideas in advance and we were going to present them to each other yesterday to come up with something great and amazing. “It feels a bit like Sinterklaas,” we thought, and it was at least just as fun.

Brainstorming works best in an external location, because a change of scenery stimulates creativity. After much deliberation, we settled on 5&33, a favorite of all of us. I live around the corner from that hotel and I love going there for a drink and a bite, and the other editors have also often trotted up the stairs at the entrance. The interior gives you the feeling of being in a cosmopolitan city, the service is very friendly, the wine list is quite endless and the menu is delicious. We had zucchini fritters as a starter and then filled the table with asparagus salad with truffle and a delicious quinoa salad – we do remain fashion girls, of course.

As the clock approaches 5, May and I look at each other hopefully and without saying too much, we know exactly what is going to happen. A glass of white, that's what gets the ideas rolling. Or something like that. Josselin and Coco join in, Jet sticks to green tea because she has to do a run through Amsterdam on Saturday. We raise our glasses and toast to all the plans made – which you will all see, read, hear, feel, and taste in the coming time.
