Yesss, our Carolien is almost on her way back and fortunately will be living close by again. Before she leaves LA, of course, extra fun things are being done. She takes you along…

Now that we are really counting down the days, we are enjoying every minute twice as much here in LA. There are still so many little restaurants, shops, and places we need to see! We can check this hotspot off our to-do list, but make sure this absolutely makes it onto yours: SIXTY rooftop bar. One of the most beautiful views over LA and delicious cocktails!

When I walked into this Moschino store, I felt like I was in the wonderful world of Barbie. The entire collection was present: from the phone cases (I’m only missing one :-)) to the amazing bags in the shape of Barbie's heels and t-shirts. The couture dresses are exact replicas from Miss Barbie's own wardrobe, just a few sizes larger. If I had the space, I would immediately place this life-sized box as a piece of art in my living room. Whether Jon would be so happy with that is another question…

You can't make me happier than with tickets to Disney Land! Yesterday, I visited the world's first park of Mickey and his friends with Kiki, which has now been expanded into a huge complex with dozens of hotels and a second theme park.

This Mickey conductor's hat was the crown on our Magical Day. We immediately bought tickets to visit the other park tomorrow!

If you are looking for small boutiques and new, young designers, then Silver Lake is the perfect location. All the hip LA-ers visit this neighborhood for the nice coffee shops, vintage stores, and clothing brands that you won't find anywhere else. Tip: also an ideal place to find original souvenirs.

I have a new addiction: real estate sales. Here, the entire furnishing of a home is often sold: from second-hand furniture to designer clothing, often coming from beautiful houses in Beverly Hills. When I saw these Chanel pumps for the idiotic price of 72 dollars, I immediately put them on and then never took them off. Then I pulled this vintage designer gala dress off the rack in exactly my size: what a perfect shopping day. I'm just very glad that these sales are not held in the Netherlands: I would need six side jobs to afford this hobby…
