We had quite a tough week with 6 nights of filming in a row, but when I had to lie in the icy cold water on night 5, things went a bit wrong. Together with Holly, I had the greatest fun, but after a few hours in that icy cold water, the fun was gone. We kept shivering, could hardly talk anymore, and it felt like we had smeared on the latest M.A.C lipstick Extreme Purple. Afterward, it took the shower at 40 degrees about 20 minutes to warm us up a bit. Now let's hope the result is beautiful and that it wasn't for nothing. Everything for the film, people, everything for the film…

The recordings for Sneekweek are still in full swing or I'm already starting with the next project: the second season of ‘Zwarte Tulp’ is on its way! I’m really looking forward to stepping back into the role of Kat Vonk and reading in the scripts what she gets to experience this time with her husband Ben. The pink Juicy Couture outfits have already been dusted off and my leopard Uggs are waiting for me, but just a little more patience. The first reading was already a party with this top cast.

It seems to have become a kind of addiction: searching for new Scandinavian brands for the new fashion season. A few weeks ago, I stopped a girl on the street to ask about her awesome bomber jacket, and she uttered the words ‘Carin Wester’. Googling her website has been the biggest mistake ever. Last week, the postman delivered a large box at the door with my new acquisitions, such as this tweed jacket and gray jumpsuit. At Stockholm Fashion Week, they are already the biggest, so it won't be long before they conquer the Netherlands…

Amid all the night shoots, I absolutely did not want to miss this event: the Talkies Lifestyle Lunch at the Harbour Kitchen. During the presentation by power woman Kristina Bozilovic, we enjoyed delicious sushi (my breakfast, since I only got home at 6 a.m. and slept as long as possible) and the favorites from Talkies. The Sensai eye cream and the hair products from Kardashian Beauty were the biggest discoveries.

Last week, Jon and I got to play tourist in our own city, and I highly recommend it! With our bag of overnight essentials, we checked in at the INK Hotel on the Nieuwezijds Voorburgwal. Small note: I literally lived right across from that hotel. So it felt like a visit to our old neighborhood! We had a nice lunch at my favorite spot Greenwoods (where I hardly ever go now that I’m in West…) and enjoyed delicious gin tonics at the Pressroom Bar. The next morning, after a very extensive breakfast, the transition to ‘back to work’ was quite large… Were we on vacation?!
