It's a celebration, at least for us, because Carolien is back in the country, but she had to get to work right away. Are you reading along?

It was really the countdown last week. Just a few more days and we would leave LaLaland again. Luckily, my girlfriend Kiki came to brighten our day with her visit, so we could hang out with the locals and show her all our discovered treasures. And just like us, she fell in love with LA within a week.

To wrap up the trip heavenly, I treated myself to a Bio Lift Facial at the beautiful Peninsula Spa. I noticed that the sun is not exactly ideal for my skin, so the moisturizing masks worked wonders. I also discovered many more ‘lines’ on my forehead than before the vacation (don't worry, that botox is really not going in) and with a special device, they could tackle those areas by giving the muscles a ‘signal’ that makes those lines less visible. Afterward, I came out of the building with a super glow on my face!

Not even four hours on Dutch soil and I was already put to work hard. With sweat of fear, I arrived at my military boot camp in preparation for a new film project. Marching, standing on the battlefield, keeping watch at night, and being lifted out of bed at 5 AM for some morning exercise: I went through it all.

At the end of the ride, I had only slept 4 hours in the past 36 hours... You can imagine the tears in my eyes when I felt my own little bed!

At the beginning of our LA trip, I still traveled ‘back and forth’ to South Korea for a photoshoot with JAN Magazine. After a 12-hour flight, I arrived in rainy Seoul. The hotel was really beautiful and the shoot in, among other places, an authentic teahouse was one to not forget quickly. The result can be seen from today in the new JAN.

My husband hasn't exactly been idle while I was at Bootcamp. As a surprise, he gave our balcony a complete makeover! I even have a little vegetable garden now: in a few weeks, we can have breakfast with our own strawberries, make salads with our beets and tomatoes, and cook with our own herbs. Can’t wait!
