This is Daisy, my foodie friend. So if anyone knows about good food, it's her. Everything in a healthy jacket, because her site is not called I Love Health and that's why we get along so well. By the way, a healthy meal does come with have a glass of wine. It should remain fun, after all.
I asked Daisy about her favorite restaurant and if she is a bit familiar with the wine list. Are you reading along?
‘A good dinner deserves a nice glass of wine. I won't say no to that, but I'm not an expert. I always stick my nose very interestingly in that glass, swirl it a bit back and forth, because that's how it should be, right? But to be honest: no idea what I'm doing! Haha.‘
‘Ooh, that's a tough one. I just landed from a trip to Cape Town and I really ate incredibly well there. Bungalow, a beautiful place on the beach of Camps Bay, was definitely my favorite. Although it was all mega good (and affordable!), you know. You can also eat so well in Bali. Mama San is a favorite there.’
‘Tuna. I love tuna. And I also find ceviche as a starter incredibly delicious. And when it comes to desserts, a chocolate moulleux is really the best. Or actually, it's better that it's not on the menu, because I will definitely give in to that!’
‘At a table for two, by the window, and then sitting in such a way that I can also see a bit of what's happening around me. I'm a curious little one.’
‘Justin Bieber. Haha. I've never understood that Bieber fever. But since that last album... Damn. I'll take a dinner with this guy.’
‘If we go for two courses, I would choose a starter instead of a dessert. I'm more into savory than sweet. Ice cream and such don't interest me at all. Only with a good chocolate dessert or cheese platter do you really make me happy.’
‘After the launch of my book last month it’s – very nice – a bit quieter. Thanks in part to the intern who has recently been helping me. I'm currently working on fun plans for 2016. I love coming to Bali often. I'm working on doing something nice there with I Love Health. To be continued.
January is the month for I Love Health in connection with New Year's resolutions. So the whole month is all about ‘less is more’: less kilocalories, kilos, sugar, E-numbers, ingredients, and preparation time of recipes. Are you all joining in?’
