HOW DO YOU STAY IN TOUCH WITH YOUR
I've been talking about it all week: I'm going to leave the Amayzine ship . And the worst part about leaving is the people you will miss. After all, you spend eight hours a day with the nicest colleagues. You don't want to lose sight of them. First of all, because you've built such an incredible bond, but it can also be career-wise handy to stay in touch. In the past, I've been tipped off about a nice job by a former colleague. Or maybe your old manager will ask you back at a new company where he or she has been appointed. But how do you do that?
Send a card
Are you the type that sends cheerful Christmas cards to family and friends every year? Then make sure to include your former colleagues on the list. This way, you won't be forgotten and remind people of your thoughtfulness. Not into cards? You can also send a nice Christmas or New Year's email. This also applies to birthdays, so don't forget to note the birth dates of all the nice people.
Exciting events?
Let people know about them
Are you moving or are you pregnant? Then feel free to let your former colleagues know. Not only to talk about yourself a lot, but it can also be an opportunity to ask how they are doing. Maybe a nice drink will come out of it. But even if you've been promoted or have a new job, it's nice to update the people from your old work. Especially your old manager, whom you can thank again for everything you learned from him or her back then. That's really sympathetic, right? marry, verhuizen of ben je zwanger?
Forward things
Do you come across articles related to the work of a former colleague? Then forward them via an email with ‘I thought you might be interested in this’. It often happens to me that I come across a nice topic for an article for our Jet, for example. How nice is it to keep doing this from time to time?
Dear everyone, Amayzine colleagues, readers, the loan plant Frits: lots of kisses for you. I'm sending a card!
