In two weeks even more confident on vacation

“Jet, I'm going on vacation in two weeks goes on vacation., how can I feel just a little bit better (tighter, that is) in my skin than I do now?” Ah! A very common question and also a familiar thought for me. No worries, a trillion girls have this, including myself. Well, I'm going to be incredibly annoying for a moment, because my trainer Robby Nelson always says (well, shouts in my ear): “If you want to shine in the summer, you train in the winter.” Tadaaa, there you go with your two weeks before you leave for a sunny destination. Dear trillion girls, no panic. I will give you some small tips and tricks to feel just a little bit better and fitter in your skin before you leave. Just a bit more focus on your health and maybe skip that cream puff. That's just how it works.

Drink drink drink

And I don't mean alcohol. That's a bit tricky, but it's a really nice way to feel fitter. On vacation, you'll definitely catch up on everything.

Drink plenty of water throughout the day in the coming time. Green tea or boiling water with ginger is also perfect for cleansing your body a bit. Ginger cleanses your liver and kidneys a bit and is also good for digestion. And that's what you want, right? It needs to come out. The waste products released during a detox also need to be eliminated. So drink a lot. 

A good start to the day is half the work

I think breakfast is the most important meal of the day. If I don't start my day well with a decent breakfast, I'm just not pleasant and there's a big chance I'll start snacking for the rest of the day and just won't feel quite right. Try starting your morning for the next two weeks with a well-filled green smoothie. Trust me, you won't taste that kale or spinach.

Swim, bike, run, something!

Exercising is the medicine for everything. Whether you're feeling dull, grumpy, happy, or busy; exercise and you'll feel a lot better right away. And of course, it keeps you slim (as long as you don't eat five hamburgers with mayo every day), but exercising is especially good for your mind and when that's in a good place, you already feel five kilos lighter. Even if it's all in your head, that doesn't matter at all. So grab your bike, take the stairs, put on your sneakers, run a lap, or book a boxing class. Make time for exercise. Being too busy to move is just bullshit.

Sleep your way slim

Feeling well-rested makes you feel much better in your skin and you immediately feel a lot slimmer. Just watch: if you have a bad day, you often also feel like a ton, right? So go to bed early, get at least seven hours of sleep per night, and don't spend too long in bed with your phone or computer. It just makes you restless. Rather take a book. Haha, I sound like such a wise guy now, but I never do it myself, okay? I'm just giving some advice.

Secret tip

Take a sauna a few times or a bikram yoga class (that's yoga in a room of 40 degrees). This is a winner. Don't tell anyone, okay?

And then this: eat consciously

Replace a pasta dish with a courgettini and have a nice cottage cheese instead of a French stinky cheese (also delicious, by the way). Choose water instead of cola and serve more vegetables than rice. Just think logically and take a moment to consider the choices you make. You don't need me for that, you know that very well.
