Tomorrow is the day you can put your dearest own mother in the spotlight. We are going to do that too, because she surely deserves it. Besides the fact that you naturally start with a delicious breakfast and a huge hug, there are more things you can do that will surely bring her great joy. At least, my mother would be incredibly happy about this. So if you don't have any plans yet but want to hang out with the dearest and nicest daughter in the country, then I have 3 golden tips:

– Clean out her wardrobe together. She probably doesn't really get around to it anyway, and maybe she doesn't really know what's in and what's out anymore, so your help is more than welcome and it's also a great way to spend a Sunday. Who knows, you might even find something nice for yourself. The flared jeans are back in style after all, and you can cut off those high-waisted Levi's jeans from 30 years ago (‘no mom, you might be a tad too old for that’) and you're ready for a festival.

– I don't know about your mother, but mine has incredibly green fingers. I, on the other hand, absolutely do not, but I do know that pulling weeds is quite a nasty job. But it's anything but difficult, so offering to do that would make her incredibly happy, and she will probably teach you how to make the garden even more summer-ready in the meantime. She'll be seriously happy about it.

– Cooking, she has probably been putting meals on the table for you for years, and when you were finally old enough to do it yourself, you had already flown the nest. Time to give her a glass of wine, a crossword puzzle (yep, my parents love doing those), and you dive into the kitchen for a feast. And if you're not really a master chef, I'll tell you here how to fake an amazing homemade dinner.

Then there are of course also things like a day trip to another city, having lunch in her favorite restaurant, going to the cinema, an afternoon at the spa, getting pampered together at the pedicure, or, if you really want to please her, taking her to the museum. At least, I would make a huge good move with that. God, how I used to stomp on the ground because I really didn't want to look at boring paintings and such. Now I just get over it.
