KATY PERRY HEART H&M
exclusive interview
Not only is the designer collection that H&M releases every year a media highlight, the Christmas campaign is just as impressive. Last year it was Lady Gaga and Tony Bennett who were the faces of the festive collection, and this year Katy Perry got to pull a festive outfit from the rack and pose for the H&M lens. Now, as you know, I'm not very fond of Christmas, but I do love a party. And Katy Perry. And H&M. So maybe I do actually like Christmas, you never know how things turn out.
Extra fun is that H&M has spoken to her and shares the interview exclusively with Amayzine.com. About Christmas, her role in the campaign, and her most memorable Christmas memory. Here it comes.
How was it to shoot the Christmas campaign for H&M?
“Very creative, especially. We shot the campaign in the middle of summer, in July. It was really fun to start so early with Christmas, I am better prepared than ever.”
Favorite look?
“All looks are favorite for different reasons. I loved the red dress, very chic and with a 70’s vibe for example, but also the suit. Oh, that suit was amazing, such a good fit and incredibly flattering.”
What is your favorite look that you have ever worn on stage?
“From the Prismatic World Tour, it's the Moschino look with smiley faces, because it's so vibrant. Of course, it's impossible to really make a choice, but if you forced me, that would be my favorite.”
Most memorable Christmas memory?
“Usually we go on vacation with the family, my cousin and her two little daughters come along too, and we eat and drink especially a lot, a lot. That's about it. A lot of food.”
Best Christmas gift you have ever received?
“A coat with a leopard print made of faux fur. I must have been about 12 when I saw that dream coat hanging in the window of a thrift store, and my mother remembered it well. On Christmas, she gave it to me as a gift, and I wore it every day to school in Santa Barbara (California), even though it was 30 degrees at that time. My classmates totally laughed at me, but I thought it was beautiful.‘
