Make-up for glasses wearers
I have perfectly fine eyes, but I occasionally wear a transparent frame just for fun. Or to go for a scholarly look. That’s allowed once in a while. When I recently had a charming pair (this one is from Robert La Roche by the way, so beautiful) on my head, I discovered that glasses wearers need to handle makeup a bit differently. A few points to consider
Incredibly relaxed: you don’t need to use mascara. Otherwise, your too long eyelashes will annoyingly touch your lenses. Therefore, use an eyelash curler. Tweezerman, € 12.95, has a fine touch.
I find eyeshadow completely unnecessary when wearing glasses, especially if you have a thick frame. Eyeliner is appropriate though. If you have plus, go for a thin line. The Precise Eyeliner from Maybelline, € 10.07, draws very thinly and precisely. If you have minus, go for a thicker cat eye variant. With the Intense Kajal from Yves Rocher, € 6.95, you can easily draw.
Bold lips are perfect for glasses wearers. It brings your whole face back into balance next to such a prominently looking pair of glasses. First outline your mouth well with lip liner and then fill it in with exactly the same shade of lipstick. I’m currently into bold dark colors and find the Blackberry from Collistar, € 23.95, really a winner.
