Funny, handsome, nice, sweet, yep that's all of them. And every time I open her Quarter Magazine I see another man passing by with whom I would love to have a cup of coffee (I won't name names). Jamie can do anything. And to continue with the feathers, I haven't come across a single photo where she doesn't look nice. Face, hair, clothing, everything. I've spotted her Stella McCartney a few times and now it's time to investigate it from the inside. Tell us Jamie, what do you carry with you?

How many bags do you have?

“I have about twelve bags, of which I really use seven.”

How did you get this beauty?

“I found this gem on stellamccartney.com.”

What does a bag do for a woman?

“A beautiful designer bag upgrades your (basic) outfit. This bag, for example; with the golden chain, I make a rather boring look, take a black skinny and a white T-shirt, much more playful. A bag completes your look. And from a practical point of view, a bag ensures that you can take everything you need ‘on location’.”

Honestly, are you a bit careful with it or do you throw it in a corner or do they all sit on a shelf with dust bags?

“With my larger bags, I can be quite rough. Coming home and throwing the bag on the couch or a chair – preferably not on the floor. And when I tidy them up, I hang them neatly in the closet on a hanger. When I travel, I always keep them neatly in a dustbag and only then in the trolley.”

What about the contents? Are you a chaotic person or neatly organized?

“Fortunately, I can be somewhat chaotic with this little bag, because it's just too small to make a mess of it, but with my other bags, it's always searching for my keys, phone, and wallet. Super chaotic!” 

What do you always carry in your bag?

“My phone, keys, (bank) cards loose, because it takes up less space, sunglasses, earbuds, chewing gum, and clutch sizes of lipstick and perfume. And if my son is with me, there's always a pacifier in there too.”

If a woman could only have one bag, which would it be?

“A black leather Chanel Boy bag: timeless, chic yet tough due to the chunky chain link, goes with everything and radiates maturity.”

Do you prefer trendy or classic?

“Classic, otherwise I get tired of it after a month. Bright colors I would never do, unless I had Oprah's bank account.”

And should a bag also be practical?

“Nice bonus if a bag is also practical, but a non-practical example is not a dealbreaker for me. The Diego bag from Alexander Wang, for example, is super impractical – you can never find anything in it, but oh how beautiful it is.”

And lastly, is there another one on your wishlist? Which one?

“I've always said: when I hit thirty, I can treat myself to a Chanel bag. So hopefully I can finally cross off the aforementioned ‘Boy’ from my wishlist in three years. Until then, there's also a lovely shoulder bag from Saint Laurent on it.”
