How many bags do you have?

“I have about 20 bags, of which I think I use 7 or 8.”

What does a bag do for a woman?

“I think a bag can make you feel more confident, but it also adds something extra to casual outfits and strengthens your identity.”

Honestly, are you a bit careful with it, do you throw it in a corner or are they all on a shelf in the dustbag?

“I really wish I could say that I put bags in a dustbag, but unfortunately that's not the case. I still remember having a YSL bag and when I went to the club, I literally threw it in a corner and spilled beer on it. I was 16 and irresponsible then. Now I'm 27 and I don't throw my bags in such weird places anymore, rather in a corner of my wardrobe.”

What about the contents? Are you a chaotic person or neatly organized?

“My boyfriend often refers to my bag as my trash bag. I actually come across as a slob by the way. It’s not that bad, but I just throw everything in without thinking. When I'm on the plane, I sometimes tidy up my bag really well and organize everything, then I always feel so good.”

What do you always carry in your bag?

“Lipstick, credit cards, a notebook and pen, eye drops, and my phone charger.”

Do you notice that more doors open with a designer bag?

“Not in the Netherlands, I usually see looks of: what does that thing need with such an expensive bag?”

Do you prefer trendy or classic? And should a bag also be practical?

“If I really buy a nice bag, I prefer to buy a classic bag. And I also think a bag should be practical. It’s nice to have one pretty little bag, but I prefer to buy something that I will actually use.”

And lastly, is there one on your wishlist?

“I am really hesitating about my next purchase: it will either be a new Chloe or a Mini 2-Jour from Fendi.”
