Zayra works at Arma, so she is immersed in the most beautiful leather every day. This way, she can immediately see if an item has quality. Can we take a peek into your bag?

How many bags do you have?

To be honest, I have never counted my bags, but I think I have about ten, of which I really use four now.

How did you get this beauty?

I bought this one last June in Malaga at & Other Stories.

What does a bag do for a woman?

I think a bag defines your femininity. It is an accessory that we women actually always carry with us in various shapes and sizes. For every occasion, we have a matching bag, and we stuff it to the brim because you never know when you might need something!

Honestly, are you a bit careful with it, do you throw it in a corner, or do they all stand on a shelf in dustbags?

The bags I use are neatly on the shelf and the rest is lying somewhere at the bottom of my closet. When I go looking for a bag, I probably pull everything out, grab the bag I want, and throw the rest back in. Unfortunately, I am not very careful with my bags, but I will polish my first designer bag beautifully every time and give it a nice spot!

What about the contents? Are you a chaotic person or neatly organized?

Bag management has been a tricky task for me so far. I manage to create chaos in the smallest bags. Very illogically, I often walk around with multiple bags. A small one and a large one. In all haste, I throw everything into my bag in the morning, and it’s a search party when I need something. I prefer to take my whole house with me under the pretense of ’you never know how your day will go.‘.

What do you always carry in your bag?

I don’t leave the house without having my phone, gum, wallet, perfume, and lip balm in my bag.

Do you notice that more doors open with a designer bag?

I don’t really believe in that. In my opinion, life is not about how you look, but about who you are.

I think women place more value on that than men do. What men have with cars, women have with bags.

Do you prefer trendy or classic? And should a bag also be practical?

Most women, I assume, have multiple bags, so a mix of classic and trendy is ideal. When purchasing a designer bag, I would go for a classic bag that will still look beautiful in 30 years and that you can possibly pass on to your children. It’s a bonus that when you invest in a beautiful expensive bag, it is also practical in terms of size and layout!

And lastly, is there another one on your wishlist? Which one?

I currently have a bag crush on the Céline Trio bag, the Saint Laurent Lulu bag, the Saint Laurent Emmanuelle fringed bucket bag, and the Saint Laurent Cassandre small suede shoulder bag.
