An incredible beauty with an amazing wardrobe and also quite a handbag collection. And today we are going to talk about the latter.

How many bags do you have?

“I had a lot of those weird Zara bags. Now I don't buy those anymore and I prefer to save for a ‘real’ bag. I now have twelve of those real ones.”

How did you get this beauty?

“Received from my parents when I graduated from the Artemis Academy. I actually wanted to gift it to myself, so I was already on the waiting list at the boutique. When it was finally my turn, there just happened to be one ready.”

What does a bag do for a woman?

“Unfortunately, it makes you dependent. Sometimes I feel better without a bag. Whenever I wear this little bag when going out, I don't know where to keep the chain. Under, above, or between my breasts. Because if I hang it on my shoulder, it keeps sliding off. And throwing it in the corner is not really an option either.”

Honestly, are you a bit careful with it or do you throw it in a corner or do they all stand on a shelf in a dustbag?

“So I don't throw it in the corner. But my Chanel has showered many times in a strawberry daiquiri. For me, a bag should come to life. Become a story. And of course, it's a shame if something happens to it, but I don't choose black for nothing.‘

What about the contents? Are you a chaotic person or neatly organized?

“Chaotically organized. There is always in it what I want to be in it. But also enough empty candy wrappers and broken hair clips.”

What do you always carry in your bag?

“Lipstick, money, and my phone. Oh, and Aernold the parrot, a little lucky charm.”

Do you notice that more doors open with a designer bag?

“It's not that much. You see more and more people walking around with a designer bag, whether they are real or fake. Although I was recently at Chanel where they tried to sell me a winter coat. I replied with: ‘Great, but then I’ll be eating chicken soup for the rest of the month.’ I think after that, despite my Chanel bag, I wasn't really taken seriously anymore.”

Do you prefer trendy or classic? And should a bag also be practical?

“CLASSIC in capital letters. And not practical. My keys don't even fit in this bag. What do we actually need a bag for?”

And lastly, is there another one on your wishlist? Which one?

“Another Chanel or a Valentino. As long as it’s lasting. Those hyped things are of no use to you.”
