Nailbiter? eyelash puller?

This is what it says about you

Danie Bles told me that lately, when her husband and sons can't find her, she's usually in the bathroom plucking away at her eyebrows. And model and actress Olivia Munn has eyelash pulling as a ‘hobby’. Even Leontine Borsato, during one of her interviews with Beau Monde, mentioned that she considered removing the hair from her legs a kind of occupational therapy. It's true that, before I decided to let my eyebrows grow, you would find me on the sofa with a Tweezerman on one hand and a magnifying mirror in the other. There's a word for this compulsive behaviour; trichotillomania. Trichotillomania can lead to baldness (iek!), stress and social isolation.

The good news for hair removal addicts (and nail biters by the way) is that it tells you you're a perfectionist. This is always a nice confirmation, because being a perfectionist is not a bad trait. The bad news is that these kind of ‘body-focused behaviours’ also say you have difficulty relaxing and are therefore receptive to building up stress.

What to do about it? Either you book yourself a ten trip visit with a shrink so you can finally find out the underlying cause of your behaviour.

Or you find yourself a new habit. Like shopping on Netaporter.com. It's much more expensive but it's very effective in getting your stress levels down and besides this way you won't go bald.
