When I went to bed yesterdayand and checked the weather report, there were things like sunny, reasonably warm, and partly cloudy. When I woke up this morning and looked outside, I saw things like pouring rain, autumn-like cold, and angry clouds. Look, it’s of course mega annoying Dutch behavior to keep complaining about the weather, and anyway I have very little to complain about because hello I’m in New York goodness, but still I really feel like complaining about the weather.

Because it’s really been raining all day. The whole day. Coming to an appointment looking somewhat presentable is impossible, my hair is frizzy and sticking up for heaven's sake, and then there’s the clothing problem. Because when I checked the weather report last week (you know, I’m quite obsessed with with the weather report busy) it was purely 30 degrees, full sun, and absolutely summer when the clock struck. WELL NOT SO NICE. My suitcase is full of summer clothes those which is now totally pointless, and there’s a big lack of warm clothes. Which is a perfectly good reason to go shopping but still, I would have preferred it to be different.

Anyway, my day started Tuesday with an appointment at a really nice New York PR-agency on Broadway, right in SoHo. After that, I walked around the block to Suitsupply, where my friend Nish works and with whom I was going to have coffee and lunch. After a tour of the entire building (which is really impressively cool) and past the Suit School (where potential new employees are trained to become tailors), we went with part of “The Crew” to a small Mexican place a few blocks further. A place that you would really walk straight past if you didn’t know how good the food is., After that, I actually have a blank agenda until.

o'clock, because then there’s still a meeting on the program and after that 17.00 I have a drink with Kirsten from Suitsupply ( featured here in the Look of the Day) and I want to fill those empty hours with typing in a nice restaurant or café. It’s really pouring rain but the first place I went to had no WiFi,the second one wouldn’t let me sit unless I also ordered food, the third had no space and by now I’m so completely soaked to the bone that I give up and walk to Le Pain Quotidien. Which is fine of course, but also a bit like a kind of Starbucks. Just when I’m dry again and have finished my pieces for the coming days, meeting 1 cancels, and actually I’ve also had it with the cold and the rain so I cancel with Kirsten and go to the subway that will take me uptown towards the hotel., in What does a person crave when it’s wet and cold? A movie theater. And so I did. I saw Entourage the movie and would like to take this opportunity to make everyone watch that film. Especially if you, like me, have really.

devoured the series. Tomorrow, if all goes well, the sun will shine a bit and I’m really looking forward to that. What I’ll do next, you’ll read about in a next diary. As Bill would say. ye children!”: “BWhen I went to bed yesterday and checked the weather report, there were things like sunny, reasonably warm, and partly cloudy.
