Ha! Another nice diary from our Bo in New York. Shopping, new looks, museum visits, and a whole lot of Blue.

On Monday morning, I barely manage to get my eyes open (and keep them open, as seen in the picture above). This was at 7:00 in the morning. I'm heading to the office with my husband who works at Bryant Park. The intention was to start the week fresh and fruity, order an XL cappuccino at the park, and work on the mountain of emails waiting for me in that same coffee shop. But it was to no avail. I secretly sneaked home. Without coffee. And I took a little beauty nap. Oh well, it should be fine as a freelancer, right? But that was just the beginning. Little work was done, but unexpectedly a lot of arty things happened. That at least.

Every year there is an artistic hype in New York. I skipped last year's, but the year before I stood in line for no less than six hours for Yayoi Kusama's infinity room. This year it wasn't six hours, but it still took at least an hour and a half before I could enter The Museum of Feelings. And it was super cool. That museum consists of five rooms, each embodying a different feeling through light, image, mirror, scent, and material. I was as happy as a little child with all those colors and scents. I definitely recommend checking it out. Go early, because once outside, the line was so incredibly long that waiting six hours would certainly be a possibility. And only crazy people do that, like I did two years ago.

Wearing lace bear ears, I stand as a brand ambassador for Love Stories Intimates at the opening of their pop-up on Mulberry Street. While the guests indulge in the lace sets, they sip on some bubbles, we secretly smoke cigarettes on the street, and I stubbornly keep my ears on. Only when going to bed do I take them off, and now they are proudly displayed on my teddy bear.

I receive these kinds of photos when I'm not home for an evening. Our bear dog in our bed, on my side. The text that came with it was: “Are you coming home?”. It's blackmail!

The Whitney Museum of American Art in Meatpacking. It's a shame I hadn't seen that yet. So off we went. On a sunny Saturday to look at modern art. It was nice, but the Whitney Museum is also known for the most beautiful terraces with the best views...

And the top floor has a restaurant. When we arrived there was a table available. So yes, our artistic outing became less artistic. More gourmet, with wine and a table full of treats...

Found this little crumb in my archive. Look at this little cutie...

Howdy, howdy! Out and about in a cowboy shirt and aviator glasses. Of course, coffee goes with that. I must say I'm surprised by the glasses. I've never worn this pilot model before. But maybe it's worth repeating?

While I'm putting together this weekly recurring photo report in our home office with a translucent piano, I can hardly wait until it's eight o'clock. Because then I get to go to Mariah Carey with M.A.C Cosmetics! The tickets came with a handwritten note. And that's always very nice. Next week, there will definitely be an extensive Mariah report!
