sex with your colleague

Mike and Rachel above have in the series Suits a steamy love affair that they had to keep secret at first. Because love in the workplace is generally not something the boss appreciates. Love and sex complicate things, and if it ever ends, you have a pretty awkward situation where work performance will be the first to suffer, and look, the boss doesn't want that.

But research from Jobbird now shows that a quarter of workers do not always see the difference between work and private life clearly. Of those surveyed, 12% admitted to having had sex with a colleague or having fooled around with each other. 15% has or had a relationship with someone within the company and 8% does not enter into a relationship and keeps it at flirting.

The research is presented as if these are very large numbers, but I actually find it quite manageable. Without going into too much detail, here at Amayzine and PilotStudio (our neighbors and brothers) there are quite a few amorous connections to be made, for example. And I can remember from previous jobs that at company drinks, things were always just a bit too friendly with the guys from another department.

And not surprisingly; you are in each other's space 5 days a week. When that release comes out in the form of a drink, you can bet that something will go wrong. So that 12%, I don't believe it. I think we are dealing with a good example of fibbing. Afraid the boss is reading along maybe?
