Around August, I actually try not to see the inside of a store. The sale is in full swing and I always get quite hysterical from those mountains of clothing. Another point is that all the nice department stores are filled with ‘back to work‘-items and those are very tempting. Just fun stickers, notebooks, and pens. And yes, that makes me very happy and I often buy way too much.

So, to skip the hysteria of the stores and that kind of hassle, I’ve gathered all the essentials online for you. Because tomorrow the ‘normal’ life starts again. It’s hard, I get it, because those Bellinis and other nice things you leave behind to put yourself back in office uniform. But back to work is also fun, because then you can really go wild buying all sorts of nice office gadgets and other business necessities. Of course, you need the basics of a planner, a fountain pen, and a charger. But also the extra handy things you didn’t know were essential until after purchase. For example, envelopes are very handy for collecting all the receipts until the accountant calls and post-its can look much nicer than those pink and yellow stickers on your desk. That makes urgency a bit nicer. Personally, I think those golden clips from Hay are truly the invention of the century for keeping all press releases or letters together, and also take a look at the Usem cards. With those, you can introduce an appointment with your colleague a bit more pleasantly. Okay, I’m rambling. Just go shopping. It makes the drama of vacation-leaving sadness a bit less and lets you go back to work tomorrow with a lot of pleasure.
