This summer my bottom will be firmly stuck to the seat massager to my brand new Renault Espace while I set course for the Côte. I’m not alone on this one, our copy editor Maartje and our intern Koen have also chosen this location for their horizontal position this summer.
I’ve been to Saint Tropez before but only in the harbor where the coolest Von-Dutch boat berthed with me on it. I am now allowed to visit all the fashion pearls I’ve read about and that have been an inspiration to all the big fashion icons (Coco, Grace, Brigitte). Because I don’t only concentrate on the classics I can treat myself to some less familiar trophies. My stylist, a Saint Tropez-habituée, whispered four undiscovered pearls into my ear and when she whispers I listen as she has an eagle’s eye when it comes to style and coolness.
I’d say: make screenshots, print it out or do it the old-fashioned way and write it on a dance card because I know you’re gonna have a ball. Cheerio and see you in Saint-Tropez.
- Hotel Villa Marie, 1100 chemin de Val de Rian – 83350 Ramatuelle/Saint-Tropez. This is my stylist’s favorite hotel in the whole South of France. The location is breathtaking, the service impeccable, the food delicious and the rooms are fantastic. Jet stayed there during her fit-in-Tropez-session, fell in love with the place and danced in her room.
- Little shop Le Club 55, 43 Boulevard Patch, 83350 Ramatuelle.A must for every boho-fashion-lover. From crazy beach hats to pareos to colorful bags. Shop till you drop.
- Hotel La Réserve, Chemin de la Quessine, 83350 Ramatuelle. They have a fantastic spa but if you want to get active you can take part in one of the boot camps and enjoy a little nature while doing so.
- Diner at Le TIGrr, 14 Avenue Paul Signac, Cafe Hotel Ermitage, 83990 Saint-Tropez. Here they serve delicious Thai food (there comes a moment when you’ve reached your mussel limit). A great place to do some people-watching and do up some inspiration for your next shopping session.
