Style Icon
NEW YORK FASHION WEEK
On Friday we boarded the plane to New York. Then I already knew what my Style Icon was going to be. This is my second visit to the city. The first time was in the middle of summer, now enormously wintery. I was quite nervous because, yes, with those seasoned fashion editors who have been there four times, I was the rookie of the group. So when we were in the taxi to the apartment (or as May says: app), I just gazed out the window at the skyline, the tall buildings, and the yellow cabs. Our app is in Chelsea, a cool little neighborhood near High Line park. It's really nice, but the tallest buildings aren't here, so the real New York feeling was still missing for a bit. No, I really felt that feeling yesterday. When I walked through Wall Street, then took a taxi to Fifth Avenue and after walking several blocks also took some pictures at Times Square. Indeed, the übertourist had risen (chez moi), but this übertourist is enjoying it so much. I must admit that I do not do justice to the name; the city that never sleeps. I yawn and am so tired. Jetlagged. But all of that, it doesn't matter. New York, how much I really like you.
