SUNDAY TREAT
– Heavenly quark balls –
My dear colleague Rosa from Personal Body Plan made these quark balls and shared them at the office. Heavenly. Really a top recipe. I had to have that recipe to share it with you afterwards. A very nice, tasty, and responsible snack.
The recipe for 12 quark balls:
• 150 g currants
• 250 g Optimel strawberry quark
• 250 g flour
• 2 eggs
• 1 tablespoon oil
• 1 tablespoon baking powder
• pinch of salt
Nutritional values per ball:
145 kcal
5.9 grams of protein
24.2 grams of carbohydrates
2.7 grams of fat
Preparation method:
Preheat the oven to 180 degrees. Soak the currants in warm water for 15 minutes. Mix the quark, oil, eggs, salt, and baking powder together, then add the flour and currants. Stir well and then divide the dough into twelve balls using two spoons on the baking sheet lined with baking paper. Bake them in the oven for 20 minutes. Mmm… This recipe is really a winner.
