You might know Toprak as Nuran from Good Times, Bad Times. But soon she will be seen in the movie Rokjesdag and nowadays she is sipping champagne next to Jim Bakkum in the studio of Ranking the Stars. Does she enjoy this or can she no longer handle Paul de Leeuw's jokes? You can read that below. Oh yes, we also asked her about her weekend.

Dear Toprak, super fun that we get to interview you! How did your week look like?

Unfortunately, this week looked a bit different than usual. That's because my foot is kind of broken and I can't move it very well right now. However, I did have quite a few nice evenings this week: I had a dinner appointment at Happyhappyjoyjoy. It's located on Bilderdijkstraat and is really a recommendation. I had dinner with Morris Neuhaus at 5&33. That was a kind of networking event that he organizes there more often. I also had an appointment with Dance for Life. Of course, I am an ambassador for that, so we went over the agenda for the coming year at the hotel The Hoxton. Furthermore, I had an audition for an exciting new project and tomorrow I will have dinner at my father-in-law's in Utrecht for his birthday. In between, I have done a lot of exercises for my foot.

You are participating in Ranking the Stars for the second time now, so apparently you like it. What do you find so enjoyable about it?

I especially find Paul de Leeuw really very funny. The program is so enjoyable because I take it with a wink. The atmosphere is cozy and often I am really doubled over with laughter. There are episodes where I say a lot, but there are also episodes where I mainly listen. But it remains fun.

Are there jokes or topics that you couldn't appreciate or does nothing go too far for you?

Because I take it with a grain of salt, nothing really goes too far for me. With honesty, you get the furthest, so that's what I do. I just think: I find it funny and have something nice to share.

If you had to choose between acting or this kind of programs, what would you choose?

Acting of course! That is really where my heart lies. I really look up to Paul and think he is very cool, so I do select which programs I participate in. But I also want to continue acting and take workshops. By the way, I will be back on stage in December for the play Kapsalon! I am really looking forward to that. So in terms of work, I am actually looking for a balance between acting and programs.

Now about the weekend: what does your upcoming weekend look like?

This coming weekend is of course the Gay Pride and my boyfriend has his own cocktail bar (Snappers) in Reguliersdwarsstraat, so I will go there to dance and have a good time. If my foot allows it, of course. Sunday promises to be nice weather, so I will lie in the park with friends and eat healthy things.

What are your favorite hotspots to go to on the weekend?

Snappers of course. For Asian street food, I like to go to Happyhappyjoyjoy and for the best coffee, I go to De Koffie Salon. When it comes to shopping, I really like those small quirky shops. For example, Gekaapt, but I also think Anna + Nina is great for nice gifts.

Are there any specific songs that are played on the weekend?

I find that difficult. At my home, MTV is just on and I can even go wild on the latest song by Justin Bieber. I think it has a nice beat. Furthermore, Spotify nowadays has moods you can choose from and that is also something I regularly use. While cleaning, I do something with an up-tempo and when I have to do my administration, I listen to classical music, for example. But I can't really name a specific song that I like.

Does Sunday feel different to you than Saturday?

Yes, completely different! Sunday is a day to sit on the couch with my boyfriend. It's a laid-back day. On Saturday, I feel like listening to music, dancing, or going out to eat.

Last question: is there an alarm set for Monday? If so, for what?

I am self-employed, so I have to fill my days a bit myself. I will definitely set the alarm for 9 AM on Monday and will probably go exercise. I find physical activity very important and I do that at BBB Healthclub. You lie in a warm cabin and have to do exercises. It's tough, but afterwards you feel great!
