What I love most about Sinterklaas is the sweet candy experience. Pepernoten with a chocolate edge are of course the best, but frogs and mice, tumtummetjes, meringues and who knows what else are a must in the month of December. If you haven't eaten them, you haven't really celebrated Sinterklaas. Only: that sweet stuff goes into the cupboard on December 5th and then you have to find your joy elsewhere. No worries. I have the most brightly colored lipsticks and the coolest nail polish colors rolled in with the candy that are prime substitutes. And they last even longer too.
