The great mysteries of life

There are those things in life that remain a great mystery to this day and will probably always remain so. The Loch Ness monster, the question of whether Bigfoot exists, and what the story is behind Stonehenge, but also closer to home there are plenty of mysteries to be found that we oh so desperately want to solve.

1. The Sock Mystery

The classic, how is it that socks always disappear? You put two in the washing machine and one comes out. Or three, that can happen too. But never just the same number as you put in, and after a month you are at least half of your socks missing.

2. The Shampoo Mystery

You wash your hair with shampoo and conditioner. If all goes well, you use the same brand and they often come in the same bottle. In terms of content. HOW is it that your conditioner is ALWAYS used up before your shampoo? Seriously, how? The other way around can happen too, where your shampoo runs out first, but it never happens at the same time.

3. Every shower gives a different hairstyle

This surprises me time and again and maybe it's just me, but I have a different hairstyle under every shower. As in, my hair looks different every time I stand under a different shower. Due to the renovation, I shower somewhere else for a month and sometimes I stay somewhere else, and every time it's a wait to see what kind of hair I start the day with. And even when I'm in another country. My hair in New York always looks quite bad, while it looks much better in London. and Paris 4. Bad mascara days.

Bad hair days are a well-known phenomenon, but I also often have bad mascara days. Then it just doesn't want to work,

while I apply mascara, always in exactly the same way. I am blessed with fairly long eyelashes but the downside is that it is always quite a task to make those things look somewhat nice, and bad mascara days are not exactly convenient. 5. Why am I covered in bruises?.

Sometimes a wild night can turn out to be just a bit too wild, but I also sometimes have the biggest bruises out of nowhere. The real mystery, however, is why those things always end up in places where you can see them, preferably at a time when you have to wear bare legs or need to look fabulous for other reasons and preferably without bruises.

6. Disappearing tampons.

Tampons are always lying around everywhere and fall out of your bag at the most embarrassing and especially inappropriate times, but

when that time of the month comes and you actually need them, they are absolutely nowhere to be found. There are things that you always see lying around the house but never need, until you actually need them once and then it seems like they have suddenly vanished from the earth. Tampons are at the top of that list of items. Little fuckers. 7. Beautiful times.

So I often find that when I look at my phone, it is 12:34. Or 11:11, 12:12, 13:13, or something else illuminati-like. I also check my phone at least 4 days a week to accidentally see that it is 18:06,

my birth date, . Coincidence? I don't think so. There are higher powers at work here.. There are those things in life that remain a great mystery to this day and will probably always remain so. The Loch Ness monster...
