FOR EVERY MOMENT A SCENT

She has an incredibly famous last name, and yes, it's true, Aerin Lauder is the granddaughter of grande dame Estée Lauder. Besides still being the Style and Image director at Estée Lauder, she also has her own label AERIN, inspired by her grandmother's vision. It's quite a substantial label, it certainly doesn't fall short of the great Estée, as AERIN includes many lovely shoes, bracelets, home accessories, and yes, also beauty of course.

Now Aerin has put together a fragrance collection of which the five pieces are based on emotions, lifestyles, and dreams. I got to sniff them and they are five completely different scents that indeed remind me of different moments in life. Moments of Aerin. I have selected my favorite from the five fragrances and can give you an exclusive preview today. Very special indeed.

With my mind, I'm already in summer thanks to Gardenia Rattan. And that's not just because of the mood board above that I was allowed to share from Aerin on the site. I didn't know that summer could really be captured in a bottle, but it makes me think exactly of a day when you've completely slathered yourself with sunscreen, lying on the beach, and a little breeze comes along that gets you all sandy. Not a problem, because it's already warm and it's really not a big deal to dive into the incredibly blue and fresh sea. Once you're dried off again, you smell like this perfume. And that scent makes me incredibly happy. The ingredients are white flowers like gardenia, tuberose, and Tiaré tahiti. Because there is also quite a bit of amber in it, it makes the scent very warm.

By the way, I also want to say something about the box. I mean, it's a richly illustrated box, so my eye certainly catches that. It's a summer garden in the Hamptons, with lovely colors of pink, orange, and yellow, and further decorated with Aerin's Sayre design for Lee Jofa; a traditional floral pattern in a modern jacket.
