The perfect beauty bathroom
big and immersive please!
You probably all think that I have a gigantic room at home dedicated to all the beauty products I have. A room where everything is neatly organized by color and type, and where I pick something different and delicious every day. Well, you are quite mistaken. Good mistaken, I mean. I have to make do with a postage stamp-sized bathroom of one square meter, and in the wardrobe, I have exactly one shelf that my boyfriend has allowed me to clear for all the polishes, creams, and other goodies. And that is going terribly wrong because my brush is now lying among the T-shirts, and sometimes a pile of cotton pads falls out of a drawer where I normally keep the bras. The life of a beauty editor is not always rosy.
Fortunately, I have Pinterest where I am driving myself crazy with beautiful bathrooms and nice cabinets where I can keep everything organized and where all those beautiful beauty products can truly shine. Because someday that will happen, and I better be well prepared for it. Oh, and where there is also just a trash can in one of the cabinets so I don't have to fish out dirty cotton pads from among the creams every week. You read it, I am currently having a hard time.
Back to Pinterest then. Back to my dream. I don't necessarily need a huge bathroom, just an extra meter next to the kitchen or office will do, but it must be somewhat well organized. A nice cabinet with a mix of glass and covered doors. Then you can show off with CHANEL and DIOR, and just hide other drugstore brands behind another door. Oh, and mirrors. Lots of mirrors with daylight please. Then at least you never walk out the door looking like an oompa-loompa. And two sinks. One where you can just brush your teeth or your husband can shave his beard, and one that you use to rinse your brushes and do other fiddling. Oh, and everything must be extremely light and fresh. Oh yes, and I want a huge shower because I can of course test all the nice products in there. Sounds like an absolute luxury item, and I admit, Pinterest has brought out the glamour cat in me a bit, but it must be feasible.
I don't think it has to be that difficult. And I don't think I need tons of money in the bank to transform my postage stamp bathroom into a palace. Until then, I will keep dreaming on Pinterest, and you too, and if you want to make it happen, just click on the Calculation Tool from Nationale-Nederlanden. Then you'll quickly know how soon you can dance in the bathroom and be a real beauty.
