Of course we can't say goodbye to our pop-up editor without her giving us the most important tips on how to finally take a good selfie.

Will we really ever succeed now?

1. Angle: find your right angle. This is of course very personal, but I can tell you that no one looks better in a photo taken from below. Hold your phone or camera a little higher than your head and tilt the screen with the camera lens towards you.

2. Light: daylight is your best friend. No one looks good in fluorescent light and moreover, photos are sharper when you use daylight. Photos taken with daylight are also easier to edit. However, make sure to focus sharply on your face so that the photo doesn't get overexposed, otherwise you will look like a ghost.

3. Correcting: don't underestimate the power of the standard editing features in your iPhone gallery. You can easily straighten your photo, adjust the exposure a bit brighter or darker, crop your photo, and even adjust the color intensity.

4. Filters: after correcting, you can go wild with filters. The most fun part of taking a selfie/photo in my opinion, but be careful not to overdo it. I never use a filter for 100%, I set the coverage to a maximum of 50%. This way, you ensure it doesn't look unnatural. Don't be afraid to use different filters. If you use them subtly, you can safely layer a few on top of each other.

5. Smile! Last but not least: put on a smile. Everyone is a lot more fun and attractive when they smile.
