Oh, I'm actually realizing now that I should have written this post in the winter, because today it's about getting a serious six-pack and before you have that, it actually takes quite a while. Unfortunately, it's not that simple. No panic though. You also have to realize that a real washboard is top sport. Say goodbye to a glass of wine and a cheese platter. Even this healthy girl finds that too much. But okay, if you're considering it anyway, read this to prepare yourself a bit for how it all works.

Personal schedule

Have a schedule made specifically for your body and goals. Every gym has a personal trainer who is more than happy to do that for you. In that schedule, you'll also see that everything is built up gradually. This way, you get a much better result and even more importantly: you maintain that result.

Take your time

“If you want to shine in the summer, you train in the winter,” my boxing teacher Robby Nelson always says. And that's just how it is. It's really not the case that when you do a trillion abdominal exercises full throttle for a few weeks, you'll see results right away. You need to have patience. That is indeed quite difficult, but that's just how it is. So set aside at least half a year for it. #sorry

Not just training

Of course, getting a six-pack involves abdominal exercises, but what it's really about is adjusting your diet. And that might be the toughest part of all. An unexpected extended Friday afternoon drink is not really the intention.

But actually also a lot of training

Continuity. Not just a week of going hard and then nothing for a while, okay? Count on being in the gym 3 to 4 times.

Toi toi toi!
