Struggling to choose the right makeup?

I have the answer

Put me in a perfume shop or drugstore and I can spend hours there. Of course, it's really nice to spend your afternoon in such a store, having tea and chatting with the elderly regular customers. But actually, it's a huge waste of my time. It takes me way too long to find the perfect lipstick, mascara, and other bits and bobs. Of course, I have my go-to products, but being a shopaholic, there's always room for something new.

We now live in a world where little problems like this are solved before you've even exhaled. For a few months now, there's been the site This Is Powder, which recommends products based on your wishes using a smart algorithm. This way, you never have to search for long and are directly referred to the relevant webshop.

I obviously went to test it, and these are some products that were recommended to me:

  1. The red lipstick Pop Lip Color by Clinique based on my ‘creamy’ wish, price range preference, and my appearance (light brown eyes, warm blonde hair).
  2. The concealer from Bobbi Brown specifically for the dark circles under my eyes, based on my normal skin type and the desire for matte products.
  3. The Miracle Worker eye cream from Philosophy because I was looking for a natural product for my little wrinkles, the dry skin around my eyes, and a price category between 30 and 40 pounds.

I can tell you it's really nice stuff. So I would say: skip the standard makeup shopping this weekend and let yourself be advised by This Is Powder.
