A very nice initiative is Vodafone Firsts where Vodafone helps people make their first time a success. For example, they helped Liselore Frowijn with her first show during Amsterdam Fashion Week (whoops, right at the opening night) and they followed two grandmothers who traveled by plane for the first time.

Their next act is Safa’s First Applause. Safa is a bedroom artist who attracts quite a large audience from the safety of her room via YouTube. That’s all very nice and sweet, but an artist really wants to perform live. Four hundred likes are nice, but it’s different when all those four hundred likes turn out to be people. With voices singing along and hands clapping along.
