Wear white
The easiest way to make your wardrobe a bit summer-ready is to adjust your beauty look. Now I can tell you; white it is. It's a bit funny, minimalistic, and especially summery, and there hasn't been a red carpet event or runway show without a white nail in sight.
Now, white generally looks good on everyone, because an all-white manicure is always fresh, clean, and sophisticated, but it should especially not look like you've dipped your fingers in a pot of Tipp-Ex. So here are a few small rules to pay attention to.
The right color
Yes, just like fifty shades of grey, there are also multiple shades of white. If you are already a bit sunglowed, a bright white color looks good on you. If you are naturally a bit whiter, choose a white shade with a hint of pink in it. That makes it all a bit softer.
Preparation
Obvious, but preparation is really half the work. So use a base coat, because only then can the white color really become white.
The shape
Because white is quite a striking color, it is even more important to pay attention to the shape of your nails. Chips and cracks stand out even more. Generally, we see them quite short and half-round in shape at all shows. Looks chic and very well-groomed.
Wrap neatly
Normally, it doesn't stand out so much if you go a little overboard with your nail polish. With white, everything stands out. Use a cotton swab to apply Vaseline to the cuticles and edges, then you can easily wipe away any excess nail polish.
Work in layers
Work in thin layers. Thick layers don't dry as quickly and often don't look as neat. It's better to work in very thin layers and let them dry well in between.
