why autumn is sometimes quite nice

You know, I am a summer girl to the bitter end. Give me sun and warmth and you won't have to deal with me anymore. But sometimes, very rarely, I even find it quite nice that it is becoming autumn and winter.

When the weather is nice, you “have to” do something fun that day, “because otherwise it's such a waste.” Now that it is just always wet, cold, and dreary, you can read your favorite magazines from front to back without any guilt. In bed for example, or on the couch. This brings me to my next point.

The warmth is gone so the blankets can come out of the closet again. Along with a warm purring cat and a hot cup of tea et voilà, rain can sometimes be quite nice.

See, I already said that. And also because if you are caught in such a downpour and you decide to give in to it, that can actually be quite fun. Really!

Seems clear to me. A new season calls for new clothes. It's just that simple.

Feel free to stock up on all the pizzas and pastas you can find, for now you don't need to wear anything other than thick sweaters so no one will see those extra kilos. Ideal.

UGG's are a sensitive subject but when it's snowing and freezing outside and there are 500 meters of snow, everyone should keep their mouth shut because you can bet those UGG's will be worn again.

Yesss my beautiful beloved Peter Pilotto coat that stands at the foot of my meeting with Bill Cunningham. It's a bit tricky to bike with, but we'll figure something out because Lies loves Peter very much.

I've probably mentioned it a thousand times, but I am crazy about Sinterklaas. And the colder it gets, the sooner it is December, which I find the most ridiculous month of the year, but the 6th always makes me incredibly happy.

Did you all remember (read and watch it back here) that I always wrap H&M Home or Ikea blankets into a scarf? That can happen again. So in the mood, man.

I don't have a fireplace, but my best friend does and I am already looking forward to warming up with large glasses of wine in front of her fireplace. So cozy, but when it's 30 degrees outside you don't do something like that so quickly.

I don't understand all that chatter and nonsense about how ridiculous it is that there are already pepernoten this early in the year. Pepernoten are mega delicious, right? Why wouldn't you want to eat them as soon as possible? Bunch of fools.
