It had been on the agenda for weeks, what am I saying, months. Marlies and I were supposed to have dinner, drink a cocktail (although Marlies hardly drinks) or whatever. Because Marlies doesn't need any alcohol to have a great time.

“I spend an hour a day on it. When I meet someone I’m going to have a lot to do with, I immediately ask for their birth time. And if I have a date, I first check their entire horoscope. A doctor recently complimented Marlies on the fact that she helps so many women with breast cancer with her bras. The remarkable thing is that Marlies has designed special bras for women with prosthetic breasts, but her ‘regular’ bras also fit perfectly on women who have undergone breast surgery. “I work with a different type of underwire that provides support around the breast and also covers any scars on the side.”

Marlies also has special opening hours for women with breast cancer. You can imagine that after such an intense period and major surgery, you don’t really feel like standing in a lingerie store next to a cheerful model flashing her perfect breasts. That’s why there are special ‘after hours’ (just call the boutique nearby for the times) and Marlies organizes evenings for her staff, where, for example, an oncologist comes to talk about what women go through when they have breast cancer. I think that’s really amazing.
Marlies and Maestro
Marlies found Maestro, the show where you compete to see who becomes the best conductor, one of the toughest things she has done lately. “I had to let others perform someone else's work and do it in a format created by someone else. I wasn’t used to that at all. I’ve been determining everything myself my whole life. “ Of course, she learned from it and now realizes better how it is for her staff to execute her ideas. “And I appreciate different things in classical music. I used to love the violin, while now I appreciate wind instruments much more.”
Marlies doesn’t date under her own name
