6 TYPES OF SHOES

that every woman should have

For me, putting together an outfit starts with the shoe. And it depends on what I have planned for that day. If I have a busy day with many appointments, I will most likely choose a pair of sneakers or a pair of flat men's shoes that are especially very comfortable. Nothing is worse than foot pain when you have a very busy day ahead. Then I conveniently forget that I have walked many fashion weeks in Milan and Paris in beautifully high-heeled shoes that almost burned my feet, but that's beside the point. Over the years, you become wiser, and if you travel a lot, you also look more critically at your wardrobe. What do you really need? So I have come to the conclusion that every woman only needs 6 pairs of different shoes. Different, so not just one pair of each type.

As I mentioned earlier: the sneaker. And I'm not talking about running shoes or anything, but a pair of nice fashionable sneakers that give your outfit an instant update and ensure that you can move around comfortably. There are so many beautiful examples to find, and many designers have a collaboration with a sports brand. For example, Raf Simons has designed a few beautiful classics for Adidas for the upcoming summer that will be available in selected boutiques from mid-February. I like!

What should already be an indispensable shoe in your wardrobe is the slip-on. Unfortunately, it doesn't have a great name. You don't immediately feel like it, so to speak. Since the slip-on made its entrance last summer, it has immediately captured everyone's heart. Actually a variant of the sneaker, but then more stylish and sober. This is because it has no laces, stripes, or numbers. My favorite is a satin variant with a wide band and a rhinestone buckle. In other words, sober with a kitschy twist, because this mix of extremes gives a surprising turn to your look.

I have never had such a need for flat shoes as now, because these make every outfit so much more fashionable than the high-heeled examples. Therefore, the flat lace-up shoe has become a true classic since this winter. It gives a short dress a spicy accent, and a rolled-up skinny gets a fashionable touch. Especially if you choose a pair of lace-up shoes with a bold animal print.

You really need two pairs of short boots, both a pair of flat biker-like boots and a pair of mid-heeled boots. The biker boot, preferably with studs, gives every outfit a tough twist. It works well under a tight leather pant or a skater skirt. The ankle booties with a heel are fashionable and stylish and give both your wide pants and your tapered pants a feminine flair. A dress also gets a boost from a pair of nice ankle boots. Ankle booties really cannot be missing from your work wardrobe.

A pair of high-heeled pumps is a must. Although a no-go under a dress, because that's just so incredibly frilly. But under a slim pant, they look very sexy. This way, you instantly turn your daily look into a more party-like outfit. With this checklist, you can confidently go through your closet. And feel free to throw away what doesn't meet these criteria and add where more variants are needed. Because my motto remains, in any case...

And I haven't even mentioned the shoes that you really still need for high summer, but more on that later.
