Happy & Healthy
7X ACTIVE DATING
My healthy lifestyle doesn't always work in my favor. My dates often think that something active needs to happen on the first date. And of course, I enjoy that, but I also really like (very much even) to be pushed into a big armchair with a glass of wine and a good conversation. As you know, I am an experienced dater and years later I have become a pro at enduring active dates. Once it was so bad that I was left on top of the ski slope during a first date with just a snowboard and a pair of gloves. 'I'll see you down there, Simoon.' Well, that's some guts... I wasn't very happy at that moment, quite the opposite. But: I could snowboard by the end of the evening and he still managed to get a second date...
If you're just starting your dating adventure, I might have a fun list of inspiration for you.
1. On the MTB.
Moeha. When Mr. D. talked about his big hobby of mountain biking (I can hear my friends laughing hard now), I had no idea what he was talking about. After a little Google search, I found out that he was just talking about his beloved bike. Duh. Are you a bit active and do you like a bit of adventure? Then I can really recommend a mountain bike date. And yes, if you fall, he can catch you nicely, right?
2. Galloping on the beach
One for my bucket list. I'm terrified of horses (I once fell off one on a blue Monday and since then I stay away from these animals), but the idea of a galloping ride on the beach with the wind in your hair and a handsome man next to you sounds very pleasant to me. So, Mr. Perfect...
"I find that super sexy, you know"
“3. Hiking”
I would like to say that I'm eager to throw myself into the abyss during my first date, but unfortunately. I spontaneously get a panic attack when I think of such a safety harness under my butt. If you have a bit more guts, go for it, but please leave me out of this. Brrr...
4. Kite lesson
Let summer come and that handsome muscular surf dude too. I hereby sign up.
5. Tennis.
Look for a handsome (single) tennis teacher and schedule a lesson with him. I find a tennis teacher super sexy, you know...
6. Kickboxing
An hour of hitting a punching bag together or sparring nicely together? Be careful to shield well because yes, try explaining that to your parents when you come home with a black eye after a first date.
7. Skiing or snowboarding.
As I said, this is really a
fun date if you like a bit of snow. Enjoy a few hours on the slopes and afterwards (as it should be) at the après-ski. A day of winter sports in your own country, super cool, right? Do you have any fun active dating tips? Email them to me at simone@amayzine.com.
