My phone is full of apps that allow you to edit photos, create collages, and easily print pictures. Fun apps, but not necessarily essential. Then we have Instagram, Facebook, LINDA.tv, Net-a-Porter, and those kinds of apps that actually just distract me a lot. I should probably just delete them all for fun, let's see how calm my life would look then. There are also apps that really make your and my life a bit easier, so make sure you have downloaded those. Which ones are they? Here they come.

  • The ING app. One press of a button and you can transfer money from your savings account to your checking account. Just kidding. I mean transferring money to friends, the dentist, rent, that kind of stuff.
  • The Uber app. Sounds a bit spoiled, but you can be picked up anywhere you are. Flat tire, argument with your boyfriend, car trouble, rain; everything.
  • Then I certainly won't forget the 9292 app which lets you see exactly which bus, tram, or train goes to wherever you want to go.
  • Wunderlist is an app that allows you to easily and clearly keep track of to-do lists. Remember? To-do lists give you a clear mind. Evernote is also a nice app for notes.
  • Nu.nl. If you don't have time to sift through the newspaper every day, Nu.nl is a nice way to immediately (and the fastest) stay updated on the most important news. Use it every morning, then you can always join the conversation.
  • Shazam. You might be thinking: how come? But a day without music is a day not lived, and if you hear a nice tune from the speakers somewhere, you want to add it to your own playlist immediately. Just Shazam it and it pulls the song for you from Spotify.
  • A large storage space where you can ‘drop’ all your documents and photos. Wherever you are, you can access this and you don't need your computer for that. And even if you lose your iPhone or computer, everything is still in the cloud. In your Dropbox, that is.
  • Alright, a weather app because we Dutch are a bit sweet too.
