ACCORDING TO OUR SIMONE, THESE ARE THE MOST AWKWARD MOMENTS IN THE GYM...
We fit buddies naturally share joys and sorrows. But besides our PRs (personal records for the non-athletes among us) and progress photos, I think it's only fair to share some sorrows with you as well. It's not always roses and sunshine in the gym. Because things do sometimes go wrong. That's why I listed the most awkward moments for you. How many can you check off?
Believe me, I can check almost all 10.
1. Drinking water from your bottle on the treadmill. Goes wrong. Always goes wrong. And then just keep running, surely no one saw it. You just sweated a lot, period.
2. That ponytail that keeps hanging lower. No matter how tightly you tie it, it does what it wants anyway. Man, annoyance number 1 for sure.
3. Accidentally sliding the wrong (read: too heavy) weights onto your barbell in the weight room and not daring to switch them, because yeah... Pussy.
4. Farting during the last track of your yoga class (for the non-initiated: the meditation round). Hats off to you if you still dare to walk back into the room.
5. Being pointed out while squatting that your tights are somewhat see-through. You just happened to choose those colorful PINK cheeky panties in pink leopard print this morning.
6. Picking up as many weights in your body pump class as your neighbor. What she can do, you can do too, of course. Believe me, that hour feels long, darling.
7. Mascara disasters, no need to say more...
8. Finally being able to wear your new flashy tank top, you forget to shave your armpits. Ouch.
9. The middle-aged man next to you is just running faster than you. That can't be right. And then after 20 minutes, you jump off panting and wheezing because you supposedly ‘need to go to the bathroom.’.
10. Realizing after spinning that it looks like you've kind of peed in your pants. Sweat lines you didn't know existed.
