Happy Asics

So I'm not really a high heel queen and I joined team sneaker at the office from day one. Because I already stand out at one meter eighty everywhere, but mainly because it's just comfortable. And the best part is that sneakers are actually always a good choice. Jeans? Sneakers. Skirt? Sneakers. Little black dress? Yep, even there you can just wear flats nowadays.

One of my favorite sports brands, namely ASICS, is celebrating its 30 years of GEL this year. I say: reason for a party. So I thought it was time for a new pair of sneakers.

And if you thought that the running sneaker only entered the fashion scene a few years ago, you are mistaken. In 1990, yes indeed, ASICS released the first model of the Gel-Lyte 3. It became a big hit due to its comfortable fit and shock-absorbing sole. The then revolutionary cushioning system is now found in almost all ASICS sports shoes. Of course, now in a cool jacket, this trendy sneaker is conquering the sneaker market again.

Those Gel-Lytes can soon fit nicely in my suitcase when I go miles in my favorite London... A bit of cushioning is then not a luxury.
