Wow. My WhatsApp is exploding. Last night I went to bed thinking that America had a certain common sense and absolutely would not choose an inexperienced, completely unsuitable loudmouth as the main man of that country... But the worried messages are pouring in, all in caps lock and with total disbelief. What is this going to mean? Is the country facing a complete financial crisis or is there going to be a miracle and will ‘America be great again’? This is going to be such a historic moment that in a while people will ask: do you remember where you were when Trump became president? To make this memory as pleasant as possible, I decided to put on my best outfit (just received from the lovely May-Britt during the Amayzine party dress shopping night @ de Bijenkorf) and make the best of it today. How about some bubbles tonight, anyone?

Just before our wedding, I couldn't help but quickly schedule a facial treatment so that my skin would look as optimal as possible. Jon is going completely crazy: several times a week I confiscate the entire dining table with all my nail polish products and I can easily spend an hour painting my nails. Call it a neurosis, addiction, or obsession, but as soon as even one nail is ‘chipped’, I must and will immediately remove everything and repaint my nails to perfection. I just got fed up with that UV lamp and the fact that gel polish has to be soaked off every time, so I went looking for something new. Saves a lot of time, I can (or better said: my husband) tell you. And your nails are also dry in no time, plus: it lasts up to nine days. The result: I immediately bought eight colors... Soon a nail polish party at my place!

As big as my wardrobe is, my bathroom cabinet is that small... Unlike many acting girlfriends, I have a very modest little box of makeup, I have been wearing the same perfume for years, and Mason Pierson is my best and only hair friend. If your husband wants to borrow your hairdryer while he has no hair on his head, you can say that this device is a must-have.

Every winter season, I always look forward to the latest fake fur coats: each year they are made even more beautiful and you can hardly distinguish a good fake fur from a real one. As a result, when I proudly walked through the city with my latest fake fur acquisition, a few people still asked: ‘That hat isn't real fur, is it?’ Now I'm not vegan at all, but I find it interesting to see how the fashion industry is evolving with its time. Recently I heard that leather bags are now being produced from pineapple leaves! Stella McCartney has been a leader in this for years, but every season more and more vegan fashion brands are emerging. I stumbled upon the vegan leather bag and shoe brand Matt & Natt, which makes vegan leather from recycled PET bottles, nylon, cork, and rubber. This brand has already recycled more than three million plastic bottles to produce vegan leather. Big thumbs up!
