Nooit een saai moment in huis Spoor. Waarvan wederom akte.

So far, my alcohol-free month is going quite smoothly. A small hiccup occurred when my favorite champagne from the weekend was opened, but I held my ground. And since this ‘detox’ is going quite well, I decided to pamper my skin with a little treatment. Last year, I received an advent calendar from the beauty brand Babor for my birthday, and instead of chocolates, I was surprised every day with a serum. Halfway through, I panicked a bit when I saw a few bumps, but after this 14-day treatment, my skin looked radiant again and felt silky soft. Not a bad ritual to start each year, I thought!

In addition to my love for Scandinavian fashion, my heart races for designs from my own country. I have been a fan of Avelon and brands like Dutchess, First of August, and Dante6 for years. The latter opened their first flagship store in Rotterdam last week, and believe me, Amsterdammers: you want to make that trip to 010 for this. Besides the fantastic collections that I am a fan of season after season, they have managed to create a complete ‘Dante6 World’. From the marble tiles on the wall to the golden clothing racks and lifestyle products: you truly want everything, including the interior. Dear Dante: can this flagship store also occasionally serve as my pied-à-terre?

I can hardly say it out loud, but yesterday I traveled to the Waldorf Astoria Amsterdam for the fourth time in four months for their ridiculously delicious high tea. Marly and I had the perfect opportunity to immerse ourselves in this ‘sugar rush’: we celebrated our birthdays and our ten-year friendship (actually 10.5, but that shouldn't spoil the fun...). Every bite was truly a party, with the homemade vanilla scones as the favorite. Finally, we got a tour of the hotel, after which we marveled at the beautiful Guerlain Spa. @Marly: let's quickly come up with an occasion for a new Waldorf date?!

Every six weeks, I visit my eyebrow guru Le Boudoir and walk out the door with a completely new face! Because that's how it really feels: your eyebrows determine your facial expression. It's very essential that this is done well. I also dare not touch them in between, until I received this eyebrow color set from Solligne. With sweaty hands, I applied the color gel, fearing that I would completely ruin my eyebrow. But the result was stunning: the color looked as if I had just had a treatment! Ideal for maintaining your color in between, but for the real plucking and shaping work, I still dutifully go to my ‘guru’.

Just a few days left and it's here: we'll all be in Tuschinski hall 1 for the premiere of Sneekweek! This week is all about interviews, radio programs, and promotional photos. I started the week with a visit to SLAM FM, where listeners could win VIP tickets for the premiere. During the broadcast, I had to improvise a scene with a listener starting with the line: “I have to tell you something...”. Unfortunately, the team of radio DJ Rens was the winner, but we were able to make his listener happy with the premiere tickets, including a limousine ride to the cinema. During the broadcast, I asked if I could secretly participate in the contest: I will be riding my bike in a gala outfit next Monday...
