DESIGNER DIARY
24 HOURS UNTIL THE SHOW
One of our favorite designers is showcasing his F/W collection tomorrow during Amsterdam Fashion Week. Even though every minute counts at the last moment, Claes still had time to keep a diary for us.
‘Silence. For several weeks now, there has been a silence of concentration in the studio. Everywhere, everyone is focused on their work, often briefly interrupted by a question or a funny remark. Despite ‘the determination to finish on time’, the atmosphere is, as always around this time, very pleasant.
It remains an incredibly exciting period just before a show. You can do little else or think about little else than just that show… All energy goes into it, but you can keep going and get magical energy and a kick from what is slowly but surely being born.’

‘Despite all the calm and focus in the studio, we had a bit of stress… The knitwear from II by Claes Iversen arrived at the very last moment. The whole studio jumped for joy when the package was delivered to us by the courier.’
