Fashion dilemma of the week

THE MOST IDEAL OUTFIT FOR A CITY TRIP

Deciding what to wear during a city trip is seen by many of us as the prelude to the journey. The key words are comfortable and practical, but even more importantly: fashionable and Instagram-worthy. Because in all the cool pictures you post, you naturally want to pose looking perfectly styled. A little stress during that prelude? No worries. I'll tell you which items are a must and should definitely go in your suitcase. With these looks, you're guaranteed to score points wherever you are in the world.

“And a scarf protects you perfectly against a rain shower or sunburned shoulders in the sun”

Sneakers Roshe One, €160 Nike, Linen cut-out dress, €59.95 Zara

Bomber jacket, €50 Monki , Headband, €8 Topshop, Clutch, €420 Fendi via Net-a-porter, Sunglasses, €12 Monki

There's a good chance you'll be walking a lot during that city trip, as the average tourist walks about ten kilometers a day. Sneakers are therefore indispensable. Choose a pair that is infinitely fun to combine in terms of color and is lightweight, like these Roshe Ones from Nike. Wear a flowing dress and possibly a jacket over your shoulders (there is indeed a difference between Marrakesh or Berlin regarding that jacket). Finish your look with a headband. It looks nice and keeps your hair out of your face in warm weather.

“And of course, sunglasses on your nose. Not only because it's good for your eyes in bright sunlight, but especially because it looks cool”

Denim shorts with embroidery, €24.99 H&M, T-shirt €65,- Zoe Karssen, Pilot jacket with sequins, €99 H&M, Backpack, €1,970 Louis Vuitton, Leather sandals with laces, €59.95 Zara, Sunglasses, €175 Illesteva via Net-a-porter, Scarf €9.99 H&M

With a scarf, you can spice up your outfit super easily. But a scarf is much more than that. You can also use it as a blanket on the plane or as a towel on the beach. And a scarf protects you perfectly against a rain shower or sunburned shoulders in the sun. A win-win-win-win-win situation. Wear shorts and a top for a nice base. And of course, sunglasses on your nose. Not only because it's good for your eyes in bright sunlight, but especially because it looks cool. Instagram-worthy, remember?
