Happy & Healthy
HERE YOU BUY NICE CROCKERY
I collect a few things: menus for example. In the nicest restaurants or on special evenings, one always secretly slips into my bag. I already have a box full at home to later make wallpaper in my (insanely large) kitchen. It's really dangerous when I walk into a kitchen store, because I always end up paying for some new gadget. The same thing actually happens when I'm in a Nike store. I don't go outside without a new piece of clothing or sports item.
Well, then I also collect junk, at least that's what my housemate aka boyfriend would say. You can see exactly which path I've walked in the house. Everywhere I leave something lying around and I always transport everything in a thousand different bags. And it's not like I unpack those bags obediently every day.
And lastly, I get a bit hysterical about crockery. Plates, bowls, large dishes, that kind of thing. I only have two of the same plate in the cupboard. The more different crockery on the table, the better. It's also an art not to spend too much money on it.
Recently, I had a bite from a beautiful dark blue floral plate at hotel The Hoxton. Quick, immediately took a photo of the bottom. Churchill was the brand. And guess what? The next day it was on sale at Blokker. What a party that was, so I immediately bought colored tomatoes for a salad that evening. It looked so nice on it.
I’ll give you the nicest addresses to buy beautiful crockery. You have to like pictures, flowers, golden edges, and bright colors (like I do).
- First: scour flea markets for antique crockery. Look past the dust and dirt, but at flea markets, you find the cutest bowls and the happiest plates.
- If you know which brand of crockery you would like to have something from, you can definitely check Marktplaats. A lot of nice antiques are sold there.
- I am a big fan of Sissy-Boy Homeland.
- Catchii has very nice crockery with animals and lots of green leaves.
- If you sniff around the vtwonen site, you can also find a lot of nice things there.
- Then Loods 5. Prepare yourself, because I go completely crazy in that store. SO BIG. But if you hold your breath for a moment and focus on the crockery, you can come home with some really nice finds.
- Bitossi Home I only recently discovered. Very. Very. Nice.
