I am going camping and that is really fun

If you're reading this, I'm camping. Yes indeed: CAMPING, yes. The reaction “Seriously, you? Camping?” I heard more often than “How nice!”. And I find that a bit concerning. Because I actually think camping is incredibly fun. Well, my beloved is taking me along this year after not having touched a herring for ten years. But I swear to you, camping is awesome. And here's why:

  • One step out of your bed and you're outside.
  • With a lounge chair, a book, and a snack, you're already more than satisfied. It's primitive, but you also relax incredibly quickly.
  • You can definitely eat out when you're camping, but being all together around the gas stove, barbecue, or campfire is just mega!
  • A little washing up together has a somewhat romantically clumsy feel to it, and you immediately have a little walk after dinner.
  • You're super super early awake (because of that blazing hot sun indeed), but then you have the pleasure of a full day. It's different than in a hotel room, you know.
  • You quickly meet other people, and that's nice company.
  • Don't like it somewhere? Pack your stuff and go. You can't do that if you've rented a house for three weeks.
  • You appreciate the luxury you have at home even more.

Okay, fair is fair. I wrote this post before I went on vacation. You can expect an after-camping post from me, of course, but I assume that after the vacation, I'll be super eager to buy camping gear for next year. Moehaha.
