LET'S JUST BE NICE AND NORMAL WITH EACH OTHER
Wonderful, starting the day with a good discussion about food at the office. Last night I received a message on our editorial app. May asked me what I thought about the whole discussion regarding ‘the egg’. This was in response to an article in the NRC. For those who missed this controversy, look here...
And actually, girls, I had intended not to get into it. Because yes, we can get worked up about everything. No dairy, yes dairy, no fruit juices, yes juices, ban meat, you need meat, etc. etc.
The statement that was made, yes, I actually had to laugh a little. Because seriously, people, an egg is the menstruation of a chicken? Are we not going a bit overboard together? By the way, I think they mean ovulation, not menstruation, but that's beside the point.
“an egg is the menstruation of a chicken”
I don't want to go too deep into it, because I'm really the last person to say what you can or cannot eat. Everything in moderation, remember?
What happened to just being normal? Eating well, as pure as possible. A bit more vegetables and fruit, a little less meat, a warm piece of baguette with a thick layer of butter. Yes, that's fine. And let's just keep enjoying our eggs. Nothing is as nice as a poached egg on warm toast. Slices of avocado on top and a bit of sea salt. Celtic and no table salt, because that's bad.
*chuckles*
