LONDON FASHION WEEK by NUMBERS
The past couple of days I found myself wandering around London in the midst of the fashion frenzy known as London Fashion Week. And what better way to know about all the things that happened while hundreds of show ponies headed from one show to another? They say numbers don’t lie, and these sure are going to surprise and impress you. London Fashion Week by numbers, you ready?
Pairs of Crocs
They were spotted at the Christopher Kane show. Crocs. I know. From hospital hallways to front row material.
Spotted at the Charlotte Olympia show. The show was inspired by Josephine Baker and her banana shirt and turned into the ultimate Brazilian party.
That’s the total amount of Instagram posts dedicated to LFW. Topshop Unique alone had 15.064.
Those are the total number of likes the Topshop Unique show received. That’s definitely a lot compared to Burberry’s 415.300.
Word: Tallia Storm
This was social media’s rising star. Alright, to be fair, I had never heard of her either. But during the Topshop show, she was the girl everyone was interested in. How she did it? She just made sure to be in all the right places. And Tweeting about it. And Snapchatting. And Instagramming.
Number 1 location
Southwark Cathedral for the Simone Rocha show.
Items for sale at Burberry
Burberry tagged along on the Tommy Hilfiger, Tom Ford and Ralph Lauren trend who all had a see now, buy now-show. The 250 items of clothing that were shows were for sale directly after the show.
Front row couple
Bella Hadid opened the show for Versus Versace. Sister Gigi sat front row, hand in hand with her boy Zayn Malik. Celebrity love at its finest.
