Look of the day
May-Britt Mobach
Can you tell by looking at me that I haven't slept much? The night before this morning, I had a really nice dinner with Belgian colleagues. And yes, there was also a glass served. And drunk. So if our photographer Vivian didn't completely shop away my wallet, now you know why.
This photo was taken after the Max Mara show on Corso Venezia in Milan. There's more to it than just that, you know, such a Fashion Week outfit. Too dressed up is again a bit pretentious. when you're just backstage and have to take photos and such, too understated is also a shame, because if there's a place where you can show off a bit with clothes that are understood, it's here and now. Heels are nice but impractical, because you can easily walk twelve kilometers in a day.
After I had thoroughly weighed all the pros and cons (thankfully I thought of that beforehand and not this morning with a cracking hangover), I came to this look. I bought the leather jacket at Pauw and to make it very easy, the rest of the look comes from there too. Except for the shoes. The top is from Sofie D’Hoore and I'm wearing it with a skirt from Pauw's own label. The belt (with leopard print and a golden edge, I like) is from Dries Van Noten and the ballerinas are from Miu Miu. The bag is from Chanel, but you probably already knew that...
