MADE IN AMSTERDAM
Since I threw myself into a renovation last year I have never been able to completely let go of ‘redecorating’. Because with every piece of furniture that I replace or move, something else has to be done as well. For example, I replaced the shabby Ikea lamp above the dining table with a really nice design piece, but when that beautiful lamp was hanging, the rather ugly lamps next to the sofa stood out much more. So those had to be replaced too. And it just keeps going on like that.
Now I have spent days, weeks, months in every furniture store that can be found, most of the searching happens online anyway. Several sites are popular, but Made.com was always one of the highest rated. And now, they have opened a showroom in Amsterdam and that is almost a reason for me to fly back to the Netherlands immediately.
So it’s not a store but a showroom, which means you can look at and touch everything there and then order it online. And that’s great, because this way you see how big that sofa really is, how beautiful that lamp is up close, and whether that cheap coffee table looks cheap too. The showroom is located on the Overtoom and if you’re looking for me in the coming time, you know where to find me.
